One of the most versatile acoustical designers in the industry since 1989, Steve Haas has consulted on the finest cultural, commercial, and residential spaces for both performance and multimedia presentations. As a senior consultant with Jaffe Holden Acoustics, he was involved in the acoustic design of more than 150 concert halls, performing arts centers, Broadway theaters, opera houses, music schools, museums, churches and recording facilities. Mr. Haas’ has also designed hundreds of high-end multimedia theaters, listening rooms and other private acoustic spaces.

Mr. Haas’ development of unique acoustic and audio-delivery solutions raises the bar for sound quality and control in museum and exhibit-based environments. His designs for multimedia presentations have won him numerous awards as well as recognition as the one of the foremost acoustic experts in this specialty field. Deeply involved in educational activities - in the commercial and residential scene - he has been invited to make specialized acoustic presentations to numerous architects, engineers, exhibit designers, custom installers and arts groups, all over the world. He has provided educational seminars at such prestigious conferences as: The Acoustical Society of America; American Association of Museums; Association of Science & Technology Centers; National Music Museum Alliance; International Association of Assembly Managers; Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association.

Steve is the president and founder of SH Acoustics, based in Milford, CT and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
